The Relation between the self-differentiation of the patients with schizophrenia and their mothers

Abstract
|
|
|
This study was to provide the basic knowledges of the nursing care and the total approach with family by analysing the self diffrentiation level between the schizophrenic patients and their mothers.
The subjects were 92 couples (patient-mother) in this study and they were treated at the general hospitals and neuro-psychiatric hospitals.
@ES The conclusions obtained from this study were summerized as follows:
@EN 1. In the comparison, the self-differentiation level between the patients and mothers, there was significantly different in only mother's age but not different in others factors.
2. In the comparison the self differentiation level by the medical history of patients, there was significantly different in the period of medical cure among the others factors.
3. The correlation with the patients' and mothers' self differentiation level was positively significant r=.3553, P<.005.
4. The subfactor of the perception vs emotion among the subfactors of the self differentiation with mothers affected on the patients' level of that r=.4136, P=<.000.
Though this results of positive correlation, we have realized that the higher mothers' self differentiation level was the higher their children's and the lower mothers' self differentiation level was the lower their children's.
Therefore, on the based on these results, care and cure plans have to improve the mother-patient's level of the self differentiation.
And then I would be considered mental health education program would be developed for the schizophrenic patient' family.
